Pockels Effect

Pockels Cells are electro-optical devices that are used to rotate the polarization of lasers via the Pockels Effect. Drivers are required for precise control over the Pockels Cell.

Pockels cells generally have halfwave voltage requirements of several kilovolts. Kentech’s Pockels cell drivers offer users maximum control over their experimental setup. Users can customize a unit to contain their necessary features such as adjustable amplitude, pulse length control, and adjustable repetition rate. Pockels cells are frequently used for Q-switching in lasers, and for enabling multi-pass amplification for pulsed lasers.
