Instruments and High Energy Diagnostics
Harnessing the Physics of High-energy Systems
Ultrafast Diagnostics
Capture and analyze high-energy events with picosecond timing accuracy. These systems support fusion, shock physics, dynamic materials studies, and other experiments that demand reliable, time-resolved data in both lab and high-EMI field environments.

ROSS Streak Cameras
ROSS streak imaging systems deliver sub-10 ps temporal resolution, multiple selectable sweep speeds, and high-contrast, single-shot capture of fast events. The modular platform supports streaked spectroscopy, VISAR, optical pyrometry, and materials-in-extremes work, with software control for setup, calibration, and analysis. These systems are designed for both high-repetition-rate lab diagnostics and remote use in high-energy facilities.

Picosecond Gated Optical Imager
The psGOI delivers exposure times down to 80 ps and repetition rates up to 100 Hz, allowing for capture of ultra-fast events with unwavering spatial accuracy. The design of the gating electronics allows performance with very low jitter and a small trigger delay.

Calibration & Alignment Accessories
Sydor provides dedicated accessories for streak and timing diagnostics, including optical comb generators, fiberized laser pulsers, flat-field illuminators, reticle alignment nests, trigger combiners, and remote serial-to-fiber control. These tools support repeatable calibration and reliable timing alignment in experiment environments.

Pulse Dilation PMT Systems
The Pulse Dilation PMT extends photomultiplier performance into the sub-10 ps regime using a custom dilation stage and gated photocathode. It enables picosecond timing on fast radiation and particle events without relying on CCD-based cameras and is used in applications such as gamma reaction scattering.
