Ensuring Precision at High Repetition Rates
Sydor’s x-ray beam monitors consist of single crystal, electronic grade diamond sensors with thin metal coating panels to provide a bias voltage. When x rays are absorbed by the diamond, charge is generated and read out via the panels. Different monitors report position, intensity, and/or timing using the charge distribution from the incident photons. Low dark current allows for position measurement down to 25 nanometers, and fast acquisition rates allow for real time beam monitoring. Metallization for the panels can be optimized to allow for maximum transmission at your energy range of interest.
Solutions for a Large Range of Experimental Configurations
At Sydor Technologies, we provide diagnostic tools that bring stability, accuracy, and repeatability to high-performance X-Ray systems. Whether in a synchrotron, XFEL, or laboratory system, accurate beam position data underpins every high-precision experiment. Our monitors and systems allow for real time updates for minimal experimental delay and minimal absorption, which allows the monitor to be left in-situ and used continuously.
