Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Funded Products

Since 2010 Sydor has been an active participant in the United States government’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program. This program encourages small businesses to develop innovative technologies that meet Federal R&D requirements. The intent is that this funding, available in multiple stages, will improve the rate of private-sector commercialization.

Sydor’s technology development teams have had a large amount of success with the SBIR program. Technology transfers with United States National Laboratories and university research labs have allowed us to successfully acquire nearly $13.5 Million in SBIR funding for product commercialization.

The following products are in the process of or have been funded with SBIR monies.

  • Transparent x-ray camera
  • Keck-PAD
  • Spectro CCD
  • Fast CCD
  • Mixed-Mode PAD
  • Diamond Beam Position Monitors
  • X-Ray Strip Detector
