Kentech Delay Generators

Kentech offers a passive, precision delay generator which essentially provides a variable-length 50 Ω cable with computer control.

Delay time can be set up to 20 ns, and it is adjustable in nominal 25 ps steps. The passive delay line is tolerant of relatively high pulse voltages and is highly stable.

Most Kentech pulse generators can be customized by the addition of precision delay circuity, either analog or passive. A standard option is the addition of an internal rate generator and an analog delay, providing front panel control of trigger rate and timing. Passive delay control allows relative delay triggering between multiple pulse generator channels based on a single input trigger. This option has demonstrated good stability, with relative jitter on the order of picoseconds. This is useful for multiple-channel fast camera drive or complex pulse synthesis and programming by high voltage pulse addition.
