The Automatic Target Frame is a motor driven paper target system designed for use with the Digital Camera Target system.
The target paper rolls can be up to 1 meter wide and sometimes over 500 meters long (paper weight dependent).
Two versions are manufactured. For simple target applications, remote manual control of the paper advance is provided. It can be remotely controlled up to 200 meters from the target.
For barrel erosion tests, the system detects shots and automatically advances the paper, at typical rates of 20cm/s. The rotation speed is automatically adjusted as paper is used.
When used in conjunction with a Digital Camera System and Sydor’s IRIS, the Automatic Target System enables a single operator to fire at up to 200 meters range and measure the group size of over 300 target diagrams before it is necessary to change the target roll.
